Choosing the right mattress

Apart from the structure that enables the adjustment of our beds and ensures their durability, reliability and ease of use, for maximum satisfaction you will also need to take into account what type of mattress you would prefer. We have a choice that are made to the same high standards as the bed frames themselves and use the latest technologies to ensure your comfort. An electric bed with a poor quality mattress is not going to help you get a restful night’s sleep, no matter how good the actual bed itself is. We have high density foam types that give a different feel to a sprung mattress and ones that have the same foam but with an extra layer of memory foam on top that moulds to your particular body shape and is sensitive to temperature. It is covered with a fabric that is made to draw moisture away from your body so allowing you to wake up fully refreshed after the most comfortable night’s sleep imaginable. We do also supply sprung versions as well but these have tufts inserted by hand to hold the spring units in place. This creates a firmer more supportive surface than other methods of manufacturing electric recliner beds. All the fillings are completely hypoallergenic so you have no need to worry about getting a rash from any of our products. As much thought has gone into the design and building of each one as has been put into the making of the beds themselves.

How they are made

All our units, whether single or double models, utilise modern European slat technology and we have beds that are constructed in three different ways, although all of them share the special waffle surface. This minimises any sliding of the mattress by helping to grip it more tightly to the slats. The twin-slat versions are built to ensure smooth suspension and weight dispersal so as not to put too much pressure on any area of the bed. Our luxury units are made with triple-slat technology which means they are closer together in order to provide extra support for the middle area when the head of the electrical recliner bed is raised. The third type are known as OSILATS and are connected to the frame using special materials to allow the slats to flex more when you are moving around in your bed. An additional bonus is the extra wide head support slat which provides more support for the back of your head when you have the unit in a raised position. Our models are supplied with handsets making it easy to adjust them as required – one for each side of the bed on double units. You can move the head and the foot of the bed individually or at the same time with the controls on the handset. As we place great importance on reliability we only use electric motors that meet industry standards and have been tested by the relevant authorities, as well as additional load testing by the manufacturer.

As described above, there are several different types of construction that are used in the manufacturing process of the beds that we sell. In addition to this there are various extra details incorporated into the design and build process that all go towards making our models as comfortable for you as possible -  such as fixed mattress stoppers that are pushed into place to avoid mattress slippage. These are something that you will not find on many of our competitors’ products. Apart from the different slats used and the choice of mattresses discussed, there is the frame to think about too. We have a selection of finishes for our wooden frames that are all made with strong laminated ply. The dark brown finish is almost black when viewed from a distance – if that is not to your liking then we also offer wild cherry and wild cherry waved finishes on our electric beds. These are both the same colour but the waved one has a sculpted finish rather than a flat finish as the other two colours have. So when you order a bed from us you have a variety of decisions to make regarding the finish, mattress and so on. Assembling the units

In order for us to be able to ship our products to you at no extra charge for mainland UK residents, they are packed as efficiently as possible, space-wise. This means when you receive your bed there will be some assembly required although it is very simple and will not take long at all. Our electrical recliner beds have some accessories mentioned above, such as the chrome mattress stoppers that you will need to push into place. You will also need to screw the legs into the frame which is an easy task and if you have ordered a double unit then there are two central junction feet that join the two halves of the bed together and these also need to be screwed in before your bed is ready to use. It should all be able to be done in a very short time and then you will be ready to enjoy the benefits of your new bed. Do not worry if you are not the kind of person who is good at DIY or a handyman around the house. It is worth repeating that it is very simple and there are minimal parts to assemble when you receive one of our electric adjustable recliner beds, plus they come with full instructions and help is only a phone call away if you do encounter any problems.
